Former DNC Chair and Fox News contributor, Donna Brazile, shocked viewers when she told RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel to “Go to hell!” Fox News hosts Ed Henry and Sandra Smith both responded by saying “whoa” which caused Brazile to double down on her comments. Brazile exploded after a clip of McDaniel was played in which she brought up the widely discussed possibility of a brokered Democratic convention, in which many believe the Democratic Party establishment will attempt to block Bernie Sanders from becoming the nominee.
It is hard to believe that the typically mild-mannered Brazile, who is frequently able to joke on-air with almost everyone, became so outraged over these simple comments. Brazile continued with the claim that saying the establishment will try to stop Sanders is a Russian talking point and that the “Republicans [should] stay the hell out of [the Democrats] race.”
With many Bernie Sanders supporters seeing the “moderate” Democrats consolidating behind Vice President Joe Biden, they see that what happened in 2016 with the Democrats’ use of superdelegates is likely to happen again.
