Hillary Clinton. Remember her? Here she is back in 1998 saying this to NBC’s Matt Lauer:
“This is—the great story here for anybody willing to find it and write about it and explain it is this vast right-wing conspiracy that has been conspiring against my husband since the day he announced for president.”
Then there was this from her hubby, President Bill Clinton:
“I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Ms. Lewinsky.”
Neither of these statements was truthful. They were, bluntly put – lies. And recall when Secretary of State Clinton falsely blamed a video for the attack on the American compound in Benghazi?
Ya can’t make it up…Unless you’re Hillary Clinton.
One could go on. And on.
But without doubt, the capability of the Clinton’s to lie about whatever matter is in front of them is as stunning as it is repeated.
Which brings us to this curious story. The headline from The Washington Examiner was this:
Hillary Clinton slams ‘authoritarian’ Facebook over pro-Trump misinformation
The story begins:
“Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton blasted Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg over his decision to allow misleading political advertisements on the social media network, suggesting that Facebook is ‘not just going to reelect Trump but intend[s] to reelect Trump.’
Citing Facebook’s refusal to remove an altered version of a speech by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, a California Democrat, Clinton warned that the social media giant was ‘authoritarian.’”
Hello? Hillary Clinton, who, with her husband, has spent a career putting out political tall tales that had not the slightest grain of truth in them now wants to shut down Facebook’s decision to let campaign ads be judged for their truthfulness by – gasp! – Facebook users? Facebook users are also known as -gasp! voters.
Oh, the irony.
Here is Clinton demanding that Facebook’s free speech be shut down – but brands Mark Zuckerberg an authoritarian for standing up for free speech.
Ya can’t make it up.
Unless you’re Hillary Clinton.
