The investigation into the autopen controversy surrounding former President Joe Biden is gathering force in both Delaware and Washington, D.C.
A source close to the case told Fox News, “It looks like the investigation has heated up in recent weeks and it appears there’s a focus in Delaware as well as Washington, D.C.”
The timing is no accident. Attorney General Pam Bondi announced her office is examining the administration’s use of the autopen — the mechanical device used to replicate Biden’s signature on official pardons.
“My team has already initiated a review of the Biden administration’s reported use of autopen for pardons,” Bondi wrote on X.

Her statement landed just hours after the House Oversight Committee released a sweeping 100-page report probing whether Biden’s inner circle masked signs of mental decline — and whether that alleged concealment extended to executive actions signed without Biden’s full awareness.
The report called the White House’s record-keeping “haphazard,” saying it left deep uncertainty over who was truly making the decisions.
“In the absence of sufficient contemporaneous documentation indicating that cognitively deteriorating President Biden himself made a given executive decision, such decisions do not carry the force of law and should be considered void,” the GOP report stated.
The Biden team pushed back hard.
“This investigation into baseless claims has confirmed what has been clear from the start: President Biden made the decisions of his presidency. There was no conspiracy, no cover-up, and no wrongdoing,” a spokesperson told Fox News Digital. “Congressional Republicans should stop focusing on political retribution and instead work to end the government shutdown.”
But as Chairman James Comer told Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo, the stakes may be higher than they appear.
Biden’s executive orders, he warned, could be “null and void.”
