A staggering 175,000 Americans have applied to join Immigration and Customs Enforcement — a surge that officials say reflects renewed faith in law and order under President Trump.

Department of Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin revealed the new figure on Wednesday while guesting on The Alex Marlow Show. The Trump administration is offering up to $50,000 in sign-on bonuses to new ICE agents.

The agency has also called on former officers to return.

“It really is encouraging to see that patriots see through the charade of the media, they want to enforce the rule of law, and they want to protect our homeland,” McLaughlin said.

“They saw how the last four years, this nation was brought to its knees with this scourge of illegal immigration and they want to protect their communities and where they come from. So, we’re encouraging more patriots, it’s a very rewarding job,” she added.

With the passage of President Donald Trump’s One Big, Beautiful Bill, DHS has been flooded with resources to hire 10,000 new ICE agents.

“This $165 billion in funding will help the Department of Homeland Security and our brave law enforcement further deliver on President Trump’s mandate to arrest and deport criminal illegal aliens and MAKE AMERICA SAFE AGAIN!” DHS Secretary Kristi Noem said at the time.

According to the Associated Press, DHS has spent $6.5 million on recruitment ads running on major TV and podcast networks — including during NFL and college football broadcasts.

It’s unclear how many new agents have officially joined since the campaign began. But one thing is clear: Trump’s call for order is echoing across the country — and Americans are answering.
