The DOGE days aren’t over…
White House officials confirmed this week that efforts to identify and eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse will continue under DOGE despite head Elon Musk stepping back from his government role.
After Musk’s departure, a senior White House official told Fox News Digital that DOGE is now “part of the DNA of this federal government.”
The official said DOGE operates in “nearly every federal agency,” tasked solely with cutting waste, fraud, and abuse to boost efficiency.
“DOGE staff at each agency report to the president through their department heads and are responsible for carrying out his agenda,” the official explained.
On X, White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy Stephen Miller praised the initiative: “The work DOGE has done to eliminate government waste and corruption — the rot embedded deep within Washington — is among the most valuable services ever rendered to government. And the work has only just begun.”
Earlier this week, Musk confirmed he would be stepping away from DOGE on X.
“As my scheduled time as a Special Government Employee comes to an end, I would like to thank President @realDonaldTrump for the opportunity to reduce wasteful spending. The @DOGE mission will only strengthen over time as it becomes a way of life throughout the government,” Musk said.
