According to a New York Post report, National Security Council advisor Mike Waltz and his deputy Alex Wong are set to be fired from the Trump Administration as early as Thursday morning.
Waltz, who was at the center of the Signal messaging app security failure last month, will be replaced soon.
From The New York Post:
The former Florida congressman, 51, was at the White House Thursday morning, and gave no indication that his job was in jeopardy.
Waltz became embroiled in controversy last month after he admitted to mistakenly added Atlantic editor-in-chief Jeffrey Goldberg to a Signal group chat of administration officials, during which sensitive information about strikes targeting Yemen’s Houthis was shared.
Trump did not remove Waltz from his position at the time and said he had his full backing.
