Rep. Andy Ogles (R-TN) introduced a resolution on Thursday condemning Democrats for disrupting the censure vote of Texas Rep. Al Green, who was being disciplined for bad behavior at Tuesday night’s joint session of Congress.

Green repeatedly interrupted President Trump’s address until he was thrown out.

On Thursday, Democrats descended into chaos as they attempted to disrupt Green’s censure procedings by singing “We Shall Overcome” and yelling.

“We have a country to run. The failed policies of Joe Biden is why they lost the House, why they lost the Senate, why they lost the presidency. They can lick their wounds all day, but they still have to behave on the House floor,” Ogles told Fox News Digital in a brief interview.

“We can disagree on issues and politics, but we’re gonna respect one another, and I’m tired of this crap.”

Fox News reports that Ogles’ resolution aims to remove the committee assignments from the Democratic lawmakers who temporarily plunged the House into chaos on Thursday; it could be voted on as early as next week.

House Speaker Mike Johnson called the censuring “a really sad do for our institution.”

“It was a deliberate action, and it needed to be met with swift punishment to maintain decorum — and that what we just did,” Johnson said following the vote.

Green’s removal from the joint session was the first time in history that a member of Congress had been ejected during a presidential speech.
