President-elect Donald Trump and other prominent conservative voices are speaking out after Jose Ibarra, the illegal migrant gang member who killed Georgia student Laken Riley, was found guilty on all ten counts in court on Wednesday morning.
Trump shared his thoughts on TRUTH Social:
JUSTICE FOR LAKEN RILEY! The Illegal who killed our beloved Laken Riley was just found GUILTY on all counts for his horrific crimes. Although the pain and heartbreak will last forever, hopefully this can help bring some peace and closure to her wonderful family who fought for Justice, and to ensure that other families don’t have to go through what they have. We love you, Laken, and our hearts will always be with you. It is time to secure our Border, and remove these criminals and thugs from our Country, so nothing like this can happen again!
Fox News border correspondent Bill Melugin said the government failed Riley.
“Government failed Laken Riley at every step of the way,” Melugin posted on X “Her killer was in federal custody after crossing the border illegally, then released. He was released again in sanctuary city NYC after an arrest – ICE not notified. Then NYC gave him a taxpayer funded flight to GA, according to his partner’s testimony. It’s unacceptable at every single level. RIP Laken Riley.”
Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene unloaded on Ibarra, calling him a “monster” and blamking the Biden-Harris administration for doing nothing to secure the border:
“Laken Riley’s killer—an illegal alien monster let into our country and flown to Georgia by Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and Secretary Mayorkas—has been found GUILTY on all 10 charges,” MTG posted on X.
“As a mother and a lifelong Georgian, Laken’s death is deeply personal to me. She would still be alive today if not for the policies of open-border Democrats. Laken was a smart, beautiful young woman with boundless potential.”
Tragically, she is not the first American life lost at the hands of illegal aliens. Every day, 350 Americans die from cartel-imported fentanyl. Meanwhile, 500,000 unaccompanied children are missing in the United States, trafficked for sex and sold into slavery. Thousands of these children endure rape every single second of every day.”
