Cruz Slams Jean-Pierre’s Border Comments: She Didn’t Care Enough To See The ‘Utterly Inhumane’ Biden Cages

Ted Cruz Spits Fire About Important Race Theory in Blistering Rebuke

On Tuesday, Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) responded to White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre saying she went to the border in 2018 and “stood outside facilities where the Trump administration was separating families.” Cruz pointed out that President Biden’s administration has put children in cages that are “more packed” and “utterly inhumane.”

“[Karine Jean-Pierre] says she saw the ‘Trump cages’ but admits she didn’t care enough to go see the Biden cages—far bigger & more packed & utterly inhumane,” Cruz wrote on Twitter. “Here’s the images that she counts on the corrupt corporate media to ignore, of the narco-slave trade that flourishes under this White House.”

Under the Biden administration, the number of children separated from their families and placed in “cages” at the border has reached the highest level on record with fiscal year 2021 doubling the previous record set in 2019 under the Trump administration.

“The Department of Health and Human Services’ (HHS) shelter system received 122,000 migrant children who were taken into U.S. custody without their parents in fiscal year 2021, an all-time high that shattered previous records,” CBS News reported. “In fiscal years 2016 and 2019, when the previous records were set, HHS received 59,000 and 69,000 unaccompanied migrant children, respectively, historical government statistics show. During a six-month period starting this March, more than 92,000 unaccompanied minors were transferred to HHS.”

According to reports last year, children apprehended at the border are kept by the Biden administration in facilities “akin to jails” for “an average of 120 hours,” approximately double the legal limit.

“Migrant children are being forced to sleep on gym mats with foil sheets and go for days without showering as the Border Patrol struggles to handle thousands of young Central Americans who are surging across the southwestern border, some of them as young as a year old,” The New York Times reported. “Many of the children interviewed by … lawyers in recent days said they had not been allowed outdoors for days on end, confined to an overcrowded tent.”
