During an interview with The Babylon Bee, billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk addressed his argument with Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) on Twitter after she said Musk was “freeloading off everyone else.”
“She struck first,” Musk said. “Obviously. She called me a freeloader and a grifter who doesn’t pay taxes, basically. And I’m literally paying the most tax that any individual in history has ever paid this year, ever.”
“And she doesn’t pay taxes, basically at all. And her salary is paid for by the taxpayer, like me,” Musk added. “If you could die by irony, she would be dead. If irony could kill.”
Last week, Warren attacked Musk on Twitter after he was named Time Magazine’s Person of the Year, tweeting, “Let’s change the rigged tax code so The Person of the Year will actually pay taxes and stop freeloading off everyone else.”
Musk responded with multiple tweets, beginning with a Fox News article titled “Elizabeth Warren is a fraud — Her lies about being Native American disqualify her from presidency, Senate,” along with the caption “Stop projecting!”
“You remind me of when I was a kid and my friend’s angry Mom would just randomly yell at everyone for no reason,” Musk continued. “Please don’t call the manager on me, Senator Karen”
“And if you opened your eyes for 2 seconds, you would realize I will pay more taxes than any American in history this year,” Musk later added. “Don’t spend it all at once … oh wait you did already.”
