So. Now comes a 200-page report from New York Attorney General Leticia James documenting in detail allegations of New York Governor Andrew Cuomo’s repeated sexual harassment and sexual assault of women on his staff or in and around his administration.
Also, as reported in The New York Post:
“Albany County District Attorney David Soares confirmed Tuesday that his office is opening a criminal investigation into Gov. Andrew Cuomo after a report released by state Attorney General Letitia James’ office found that Cuomo sexually harassed 11 women in violation of state and federal law.”
The report alleges Cuomo said “I want to f— you” to one woman staffer during his sexual assault. The report quotes her as having tracked Cuomo down to deliver an athletic bag when:
“….he pushed her against a cold wall, started kissing her neck and hair and propositioned her. He slid his hand up her cream-colored blouse, she said, and used his knee to part her bare legs before reaching under her skirt.\
“It happened at once. He’s talking to me and his hands are everywhere and everything is happening very quickly,” she recalled. “He was kissing me and he said, very low, ‘Do you want to go somewhere else?’”
Cuomo has denied the allegations, saying:
“The facts are much different than what has been portrayed. I never touched anyone inappropriately.”
Yet as a direct result of this report, the demand is on from top Democrats and others for Cuomo to resign.
Oh wait. Sorry. I made a mistake. Ooops!
The specific allegation above, as taken from The New York Times, was not made against Governor Cuomo. No, that quite detailed and very specific allegation was made against….President Joe Biden.
Yes indeed. Those are the words of ex-Biden staffer Tara Reade as published in, of all places, The New York Times. Biden’s Cuomo-esque response was to say this:
“This never happened, and when she first made the claim, we made it clear that it never happened, and it’s as simple as that.”
So the demand from these self-same Democrats who are demanding Cuomo’s resignation are demanding the same from Biden?
No. Of course not. Mum’s the word on calling for a Biden resignation. In the height of hypocrisy, Biden himself has joined the cascade of Democrats calling for Cuomo’s resignation.
Question? If Governor Cuomo is indeed forced to resign or is impeached, will the hyper-aggressive governor turn the tables on the way out – and call for Biden’s resignation?
