Banksy, George Orwell, Richard Bachman, Mark Twain, Botticelli, and hundreds of other famous painters, writers, and other artists all have one thing in common: they are not known by their real names. These individuals who are undeniably gifted and talented for their artistic and writing capabilities all earned their fame, unlike the new famous “artist” Hunter Biden.
Hunter Biden’s art is unique, as is a three year old’s finger art, but this does not mean that it should ever be sold for $5 let alone $500,000. The buyers of Hunter’s “blow art” are being promised anonymity. Individuals on both sides of the political aisle have stated that this seems very unethical, but the art world has come to the defense of Biden and claimed that his art is actually good. If (and this is a big “if”) this is true, then Hunter’s art should be fetching the same absurd prices that they are if he used a pseudonym, or artistic name. If his work is good, and the buyers still want to stay anonymous, then there are no issues. If for some strange reason after Hunter’s name is removed from his “blow art” it is severely devalued, then it is obvious that the buyers were not buying his art for its beauty, but rather the access it would afford them.
This will never happen. Hunter has done interviews where he admitted that his father’s position as Vice President, and before that a Senator, has afforded him many things in life that he otherwise would not have been able to do. These things include making deals with foreign governments to the tune of millions, and possibly billions of dollars with little to no experience; being able to lie on a gun application, then “lose” the gun and not face any consequences; struggle with major addiction issues to hard drugs including crack and not face any major legal consequences; and, according to rumors, be able to sleep with underaged girls and again not face any major consequences.
Come to think of it, it seems like the true embodiment of “rich white male privilege” is Hunter Biden.
