Yes, it’s as bad as you think. Here’s what Price reported:

“CNN condemned a freelance contributor Sunday night after a widely-shared series of anti-Semitic pro-Hitler tweets were revealed.

Adeel Raja, a Pakistani journalist and producer based in Islamabad, sparked outrage on social media after tweeting Sunday afternoon from his verified Twitter account with 80,000 followers that “the world today needs a Hitler.”

Oops!

As it turned out Raja has been tweeting virulently anti-Semitic garbage like this for years, as one example after another tumbled out. Only now did CNN realize what it had on its hands.

And no one noticed? Hello? Raja was working out of his native Pakistan. That would be the self-same Pakistan where Osama bin Laden was finally located and, ah, removed in a US military operation that was kept secret from the Pakistani government for fear it would leak to bin Laden.

As someone who was fired by CNN for mocking and condemning the far-left Media Matters for America because of MMFA’s vivid anti-Semitism, this latest to-do caught my attention. (And I wasn’t the only one calling out Media Matters on this: Harvard Law professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz did the same. Strangely, he’s no longer on CNN either.)

What is increasingly obvious is that when anti-Semitism comes from the Left it tends to get ignored – by the Left. In this case, it doesn’t make CNN anti-Semitic. That’s crazy. But it does make CNN blind to those on the Left who are.

This problem goes far beyond CNN. At this moment Democrats in the House are utterly unable to get their act together and condemn the quite blunt anti-Semitism expressed in tweets and remarks of the so-called “Squad” – their own colleagues.

Commentary’s Christine Rosen just this week headlined the problem this way:

The Squad’s Noxious Anti-Semitism

Rosen wrote:

“In 2019, after public outcry over anti-Semitic remarks made by Rep. Ilhan Omar, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi refused to mete out any consequences to the Democratic “Squad” member. Instead, she and the House Democratic Conference passed a weak resolution condemning any “hateful expressions of intolerance” and including a laundry list of racial and ethnic groups among those who should be protected. Not surprisingly, Omar saw the resolution as a victory. She issued a statement that said, ‘It’s the first time we have voted on a resolution condemning anti-Muslim bigotry in our nation’s history.’

If you’re wondering why many of us criticized Pelosi for her cowardice at the time, this week offers more proof: Omar and other Squad members such as Rashida Tlaib, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ayanna Pressley, and Cori Bush, clearly understood Pelosi’s inaction as giving tacit approval for them continuing to make anti-Semitic statements. And so they have.

As Noah Rothman outlined earlier this week, the Squad was eager to use the most recent Hamas rocket attack on Israel to spread misinformation and lies on social media in an effort to bolster their own progressive credentials at home.

They continued their efforts on Friday on the floor of the House, where Omar called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu an ‘ethno-nationalist’ and Ayanna Pressley compared Israeli defense forces to the nooses used to terrorize black Americans. Bush linked the United States’ ‘heavily militarized’ police state and its treatment of black Americans to Israel’s treatment of the Palestinians. Bush stated, ‘The fight for black lives and the fight for Palestinian liberation are interconnected. We oppose our money going to fund militarized policing, occupation, and systems of violent oppression and trauma. We are anti-war. We are anti-occupation. And we are anti-apartheid. Period.’”

Plain enough.

Let’s be plain as well. The American Left has an anti-Semitism problem. Whether its CNN being blind to the repeated years-long postings of a Hitler fan working as a freelancer out of Pakistan or whether its the refusal of House Democrats to forcefully rebuke colleagues who repeatedly exhibit the most virulent of anti-Semitic sentiments, no matter how one looks at it, the root cause behind all is one of the most disgraceful ideologies on the planet.

CNN has fired the Hitler fan. Good for them. But it would behoove those on the left, whether in the media or in the larger Democratic Party, to pay attention to those in their midst who are boldly exhibiting their disdain for Jews and, internationally, for Israel.

Ignoring this is decidedly un-American – not to mention dangerous.
